Chronicles of the Ordained has always been the second kind. Years ago, this saga began as a very different series called The Three Realms . Back then, the heart of the story was Kela and Cono—their bond, their struggles, and the destiny pulling them toward a future neither of them fully understood. I believed I was writing one epic tale. I had no idea the world of Jornada still had so many secrets left to reveal. As many of my readers know, I’m what writers call a “pantser.” I don’t work from a rigid outline.
